Fly Tying 102-Getting to the next level
This course has been designed to take an advanced beginner or intermediate fly tier to the next skill level. The techniques/flies to be covered in this class are comparadun, split calf tail, and parachute dry fly wings, spinning deer hair, extended body mayflies, dubbing loops, traditional wets, and marabou speys. Due to the relative difficulty of some of these techniques, this course is not suited for a tier with little or no experience. The following is a list of pre-requisites for people interested in signing up for the class:
- Experience winging dry flies
- Experience tying with various types of hair
- Experience dubbing wet and dry flies
- Can easily whip-finish a fly
